As well as the mountains, lakes, and plethora of outdoor activities, the Columbia Valley has a vibrant art community with talented local artists.
Discover the art scene in Invermere on a self-guided tour the first Friday of every month. Explore galleries and studios, meet artists, watch demos, listen to live music, and enjoy other events.
“It has been a few years since the last ArtWalk and we wanted to bring it back to share the passion and love for art and the artists who create it,” says Connie Artym-Bradatsch, co-owner of The Artym Gallery.
Seven of Invermere’s art spots have joined together and will have a special event, hosting local and Canadian artists the first Friday of every month from 5-8pm.
An online calendar of events will be updated monthly to show gallery events at each location. On Friday, June 2, The Artym Gallery is hosting photography night, a painting demo with Shane Haltman will be at Black Star Studios, and Pynelogs will have live music.
“We invite you to slow down, look around, and take in the beauty,” says Connie. “Stroll, bike, or take a leisurely drive linking together the seven galleries.”
