Period. \nTruly sustainable food production revolves around closed-loop systems utilizing inputs that are available all around us. \nYou’re invited to join us and learn first hand how Dale and his family at Old Blue Truck Farm have been able to grow “Beyond Organic” fruit and vegetables using nothing but compost\, compost tea\, and rock dust! \nGrowing our own food is one of many ways we can take action to create a more healthy planet and people. This event is part of Columbia Valley SHIFT\, a circular economy program that involves moving away from the traditional “take-make-use-dispose” linear model toward a system where resources are kept in use for as long as possible\, waste is eliminated\, and natural systems are regenerated. Columbia Valley SHIFT aims to shift our community socially\, economically and environmentally creating a cultural shift within our Valley.
