Your Guide to Farmers Markets in the Columbia Valley

Columbia Valley Market Trail
The Columbia Valley is spoiled with unbeatable farmers markets stretching from Spillimacheen in the north, all the way to Canal Flats in the south. Markets in the area are stocked full of local produce, handcrafted jewelry, local distilleries, fresh baked goods, and so much more!

Spillimacheen

Flyway Market

Where: Spilli Station Café

When: Wednesday – Sunday, 9 am – 3 pm

The Flyway Market hosted at the Spilli Station Café is the perfect place to grab some local produce and have a lovely picnic on the beautiful property. Farm fresh eggs are available for purchase on Saturdays.

Make a morning of your trip and plan to pick up brunch at the Café!

Radium Hot Springs

Market on Main

Where: Radium Visitor Centre

When: June 25 – September 3, Friday evenings, 4 pm – 7 pm

The Market on Main in Radium is a favourite of locals and visitors! Find unique paintings, fresh fruits, local honey, and baked goodies to start your weekend off right! After your stroll at the Market, pick up some dinner at one of Radium’s delicious restaurants.

Invermere

Farmers and Artisans Market

Where: Lakeview Parking Lot (behind Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena)

When: June 12 – September 11, Saturday mornings, 9 am – 1 pm

The Invermere Farmers and Artisans Market is the largest in the area! Find a full selection of vendors including farmers, crafters, artists, bakers, and canners.

Spend the day in Invermere by strolling down to Kinsmen beach with your market treasures! (A giant pretzel and lemonade, perhaps?)

 

Agri-Park Farmers Market

Where: At the crossroads of Highway 93/95, Invermere

When: May 19 – September 8, Wednesday evenings, 5 pm – 7:30 pm

Need something for dinner? There’s no better market to shop at than the Agri-Park Farmers Market! Local farmers and food producers are bountiful at the Agri-Park Market on Wednesday evenings! Grab your veggies for the week, local beef, and a “ready-to-heat” dinner option, too!

Fairmont Hot Springs

Fairmont Farmers Market

Where: Fairmont Frontage Road (in front of Mountainside Market)

When: July 4 – August 29, Sunday mornings, 10 am – 2 pm

There’s no better Sunday morning excursion than heading out to the Fairmont Farmers Market to pick up some local art, essential oils, and tasty treats. Have a peruse around the vendors on Main Street, then explore the nearby shops in town!

Canal Flats

Canal Flats Market

Where: 9110 Highway 93/95, Canal Flats

When: Saturday afternoons, 12 pm – 4 pm

A wide variety of vendors, from ready-to-eat lunches to homemade jellies are a sight to be had at the Canal Flats Market! Spend the morning exploring nearby trails or soaking up the sun at the Tilley Memorial Park, and head to the market in the afternoon for some retail therapy.
