Fairmont Hot Springs is located in the beautiful Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia. Conveniently located just off BC Highway 93/95, Fairmont Hot Springs is an easy road trip destination from various nearby cities. It sits approximately 108km (67mi) north of Cranbrook and 141km (88mi) south of Golden. To the east, Calgary, Alberta is located 299km (185mi) away, accessible via Highways 1 and 93, with a stunning drive through Kootenay National Park.

If you prefer traveling by air, the closest major airport is the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, located approximately 70 kilometers south of Fairmont Hot Springs. It is a small regional airport servicing the Kootenay-Rockies area, with flights mainly to and from Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Calgary International Airport is the nearest large airport to Fairmont Hot Springs and is approximately a three-hour drive.
