Beaches

Is there anything better than spending the day on the shoreline of a lake with panoramic mountain views? Explore the beaches of the Columbia Valley.

James Chabot Provincial Park is a beautiful beach day-use area on the shores of Lake Windermere in Invermere. Take in views of the Rocky & Purcell Mountain Ranges while relaxing on the beach, going for a swim or paddle, or enjoying lunch at one of the picnic tables!

The park also offers a fun adventure playground, volleyball court, washrooms, and an interpretive boardwalk trail.

Kinsmen Beach is a popular spot to be on a summer day, and for good reason. With beach access, greenspace, picnic areas, large playground,  roped swimming area, floating docks and slides, and picnic tables, there is something for everyone!

Rent paddleboards and gear from the beachside Columbia River Paddle to get out on the water.

Kids will love to play in the Rotary Splash Park, open during the summer months.

Nearby amenities include restaurants, paved footpaths, and walking access to downtown.

Located in the lakeside community of Windermere, enjoy the public beach with greenspace, picnic tables, and a floating dock.
