Enjoy the drive to Windermere! Windermere can be found in the Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia. Windermere is conveniently located just off BC Highway 93/95, making it easily accessible from various nearby cities. It sits approximately 126km (78mi) north of Cranbrook and 123km (76mi) south of Golden. To the east, Calgary, Alberta is located 296km (183mi) away, accessible via Highways 1 and 93 through the beautiful Kootenay National Park.
If you prefer traveling by air, the closest major airport is the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, located approximately 134 kilometers south of Windermere. It is a small, regional airport servicing the Kootenay-Rockies area, with flights mainly to and from Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Calgary International Airport is the nearest large airport to Windermere and is approximately a three-hour drive.
