Canal flats
Canal Flats marks the southernmost point of the Columbia Valley.
Home to the headwaters of the mighty Columbia River, water bubbles from the ground, starting a 2,000km journey to the Pacific Ocean. Swim, boat, picnic, and play on the lovely Columbia Lake or fish (seasonally), raft, kayak, or canoe the world-class Kootenay River carving its way through Canal Flats from the Rockies. Head further south and discover extraordinary hikes, campgrounds, and lakes.
Stop by the town centre to visit local eateries, or visit the Tilley Memorial Park for a picnic. In winter, the Canal Flats Arena brings 5,000 hockey tournament visitors to the Village annually!
Canal Flats is a community full of heart, natural wonders, and growth potential.
