Enjoy the drive! Invermere is a stunning 90 minute drive from Banff in the beautiful Kootenay Rockies region. Invermere is conveniently located just off BC Highway 93/95, making it easily accessible from various nearby cities. It sits approximately 133km (82mi) north of Cranbrook and 120km (74mi) south of Golden. To the east, Calgary, Alberta is located 276km (171mi) away, accessible via Highways 1 and 93 through the beautiful Kootenay National Park.
The closest airport to Invermere is the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, B.C. This is a small airport, with flights to and from Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver. Calgary International Airport is the closest large airport to Invermere, and is around a three-hour drive.
