There’s too many pizza places in the Columbia Valley – said no one ever.
Whilst it’s true that the small towns that make up the Columbia Valley boast more than the usual amount of pizza, pizza is great.
Pizza doesn’t have to be the same monotonous meal every night. Pizza can be anything. Pizza can be ham, pizza can be chicken, pizza can be veggies, pizza can be pineapple if your heart believes it so. One thing pizza will never be is boring. So, to the answer to “which pizza place should we order from?” we answer: all of them.
And with that, we humbly introduce you to “The Columbia Valley Pizza Trail.” Can you get them all?
Fairmont Pizza & Ice Cream
Fairmont Pizza & Ice Cream is built for the lovers of dessert. Whilst the pizza is undeniably good, patrons of this pizzeria will immediately notice the massive ice cream counter. The perfect way to finish off a pizza, is to get an ice cream after all! If you’re staying in Fairmont Hot Springs this is the pizza place for you.
Pizza Pizza
Pizza Pizza is the kind of place that just hits the spot whenever you have a pizza craving. They have great deals, so it’s perfect if you’re feeding the whole family or a large crowd.
POW Pizza
This place is pretty unique with their Detroit style deep dish pizzas. The vibes of POW Pizza, based in Windermere are immaculate. What they have created goes beyond pizza, it’s a place to sit and connect with the family and enjoy the outdoors.
Peppi’s Pizza
Based in downtown Invermere, Peppi’s pizza is a favourite among locals. Perhaps the reason for this is that the menu is absolutely massive. You are sure to find something that you enjoy here, and can enjoy it in their dining room with mountain views.
Pizzeria Mercato
Pizzeria Mercato has a very handy placement at the Invermere crossroads right by Canadian Tire. All of the ingredients are fresh, including the dough which is made daily in-house.
Pizza2Go
Don’t want to cook tonight? Pizza! However, then you probably don’t want to go out either. Pizza2Go in Athalmer delivers, and delivers quickly. The convenient location also makes it easy to grab a whole pizza or even a single slice on your journey to greater outdoor adventures in Invermere, or at Panorama Mountain Resort and beyond. They will also soon be adding a dining room and acquiring a liquor license.
Vesano’s
Based in downtown Invermere, Vesano’s pizza is flame cooked so it is always baked to perfection. There is a lovely patio, or indoor dining options, or you can take a pizza away and enjoy it at home.
Wildside Pizzeria
A perfect stop on your way into the valley, or if you’re staying in Radium. Wildside also offers specialty pizzas like Calzone’s, so you’ll find something for everyone’s taste.
Alto Kitchen + Bar
What could be better than a day skiing or biking at Panorama Mountain Resort followed by everyone’s favourite food? Alto isn’t your typical “ski lodge pizza.” They offer a range of Italian cuisine, but the woodfired pizzas are a standout on the menu. Every slice is baked to perfection in a stunning Forno Bravo pizza oven.
