Taking Yoga to New Heights
Mountain Yoga at Panorama is a signature yoga experience only offered during their summer season which typically runs from the end of June to the end of August. Hosted at an elevation of over 5000 ft, The Yoga Deck is tucked away in a quiet corner of the resort set against the backdrop of mountain peaks and expansive skies. Getting there is all part of the adventure and takes about 15 minutes! The journey begins with a scenic 1200ft chairlift ride up The Mile One Express where you’ll be greeted by the glimpses of the surrounding mountains – and of Mt Assiniboine in the distance on a clear day!
Start your warm up before class with a short 350m walk down the hiking trail where you can stop to smell the wildflowers, listen to the flowing stream and admire the views along the way. Once you reach the yoga deck, get comfortable on the provided yoga mats and flow through your class while you take in the fresh mountain air, the sounds of nature and panoramic views. During class you may even receive a visit from local wildlife- butterflies, birds and deer and more! After class, choose to take the chairlift back down or if you want to keep the day going, head out for a hike!
Flow with the Waters of the Toby Creek
Village Yoga at Panorama is currently offered in two different locations in the Lower Village of the resort which can be accessed by walking, driving or taking the charming Village Gondola. The Toby Creek Lodge Deck is located in the valley at a lower elevation right alongside the flowing waters of the Toby Creek. The mountain backdrop, the tranquility of the surroundings and the natural, soothing soundtrack provided by the rushing creek will leave you feeling grounded and refreshed. The second location, Creekside Room, is a cozy yet spacious, carpeted indoor space with high ceilings conveniently located above the General Store in Toby Creek Lodge. The Valley Trail is close by for an added activity before or after class.
Whether it’s your first yoga class or you’ve been practicing for years, the class settings that Panorama Mountain Resort offers will elevate your practice and allow you to reconnect with the natural world around you. This unique summer activity is sure to leave you wanting to experience it again! Be sure to check current class schedules and plan your next adventure.Â
